Regarding Before & After School Care:
Beginning tomorrow (Tuesday, 8/29), Before School Care will be held in the gym. Please drop your students off at the first set of gym doors.
After School Care will be in Ms. Hypes or Mrs. Hatcher's classroom. Please pick up your students at the double doors around the back of the school. There will be a sign on the door to indicate where to pick up your child.

Just a reminder that sports tryouts for 3-5 graders begin tomorrow, August 25!
All students who wish to tryout for volleyball, basketball, or cheerleading MUST have a sports physical dated after June 30 in order to participate. Sports tryout registration forms were given out at Open House and students have the opportunity to bring one home this afternoon.

If your student did not take home their grade reports, you may pick them up in the school office until Friday, June 9. Please call ahead of time to make sure someone is available to assist you as we will be delivering documents to various Raleigh County Schools departments through the week.

This message is for 5th Grade Parents/Guardians:
The bus will be arriving at the GHENT FIRE STATION near the school at approximately 3:15pm. Please meet your student there. Teachers will have a sign-out sheet.
Due to the timing of school dismissal, the charter bus will not be able to enter school grounds. If you have any questions, either contact the office or the 5th grade teachers.
Bus 97 is running late. They are just now loading at the school (3:50pm). Please be patient as we have a substitute driver bringing your kiddos home safely!
The last day of school is June 6! There will be NO Pre-K students this day. Grades K-5 will be dismissed 3-hours early at 12:20pm!
This is a reminder that there is NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE today, Thursday, May 25.
Kindergarten Under Construction is this evening from 5-7pm. All students who will be in Kindergarten at Ghent Elementary next year are encouraged to attend!

On Thursday, May 25, Ghent Elementary will NOT have after school care due to Kindergarten Under Construction.
Kindergarten Under Construction is an orientation event for all incoming Kindergarten students from 5-7pm on May 25.
Again, there is NO after school care on Thursday, May 25.

This is a message from Ghent Elementary for parents of upcoming Kindergarten students for the 2023-2024 school year.
Just a reminder that students entering Kindergarten are required to show proof of the immunization before the shaft of the school year per WV State Code. Immunization requirements can be found on the Raleigh County Schools website, or a copy is available at the school.
An updated wellness exam and dental exam for both incoming Kindergarten and all upcoming 2nd graders should also be turned into the school nurse at the start of the new school year.
