REMINDER: Per the student handbook (pg. 7), students are not permitted to bring metal water bottles to school. Water bottles must be plastic and only contain water. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

REMINDER: Our Playground PTO Meeting is at 3:45 this afternoon! Please join us!
We want to clarify some information for our fall fundraiser: All students will participate in the "Mega Party" as we are going to use these inflatables at Field Day; however, if your student sells 12 or more items, he/she will get an extra hour with the inflatables! The students who sell 30 and 50 items will get their extra prizes during that extra hour.
We wanted to make that clear before the fundraising begins! We know it's a lot of work, but we appreciate all of the effort to not only make our Field Day a great day for our kids, but also help us replace our outdated signage on our property!

Join us for our first PTO meeting of the year tomorrow, Tuesday, September 1! We will meet on the playground under the awning, so your kiddos can play while we discuss things such as Santa's Workshop, dances, and more! We need your help to make GES a fun place to learn & grow!

2) Students who had their sports physical completed after May 1
3) Students who attended a CERP training with a parent/guardian
Volleyball try-outs are 3:40-5:00

FINAL REMINDER: If your 3-5 grader is planning to tryout for sports you and your child MUST attend a CERP training at GES! If you did not attend the training on Tuesday evening, you must attend this evening at 4:30! If not, your child cannot tryout for sports according to WV Code 18-5-22e.

It's fundraiser time! We are saving up to replace our letter board sign at the front of our property with an electronic sign! The fundraiser begins Monday. Supplies will be sent home at that point.
Bus 503 students are loaded and on their way!
Bus 212 students are loaded and on their way!
BUS UPDATE: We are still waiting on Bus 212 and Bus 503 to arrive. Students who ride these 2 buses are still at GES. There is no issue that we are aware of. The students are, of course, in good hands with our staff!
Please be patient with our bus drivers over the next few days as they not only learn their bus routes, but they also fight the traffic out in our area! We will notify you if there are any issues, but please know that the bus runs may be later than usual here at the beginning of the school year. Thank you!
IMPORTANT!! Especially at the beginning of the school year, we have a lot of Parent Pick-Up cars. If you arrive at our property, and both lanes of Parent Pick-Up are full, please do NOT enter our property! Cars will be dismissed to begin rounding the building around 3:10. That should clear plenty of space for you to return and get in line.
It is very important that you do not block our entrance for buses or the main road in any capacity!
