We are still cleaning up and waiting on a few volunteers to move their vehicles, so please hold off on parent pick up an extra 5 minutes. 3:15pm!

Field Day is in full swing! The Raleigh County Sheriff's Department also joined up to show off their cruiser and drone to the kids! So, if you see lights flashing, we're still having a blast!

A few reminders for Field Day tomorrow:
1) It's supposed to be 80° and sunny! Don't forget to put sunscreen on your student before school!
2) Students should wear athletic clothes and shoes.
3) Parent Pick-Up cannot line up until 3:10pm to allow our volunteers to move their vehicles.

Bus 503 is currently loading GES students.

There is a substitute driver on Bus 503 this afternoon. He has not arrived at GES yet. Please be patient as he delivers students home safely.

June 4 is Field Day! Due to the amount of volunteers we will have (THANK YOU!), we cannot start lining up for Parent Pick-Up until 3:10pm. I know that is just 10 minutes before dismissal, but if we do not wait for volunteers to clean up and move their vehicles, we will not have enough space for Parent Pick-Up.
Please DO NOT line up for Parent Pick-Up until 3:10 on June 4. Thank you for your cooperation!

5th Grade Awards Ceremony will be June 5 at 10:00am. 1st set of gym doors open at 9:45am.
Kindergarten Awards Ceremony will be June 9 at 9:00am. 1st set of gym doors open at 8:45am.

We have sold out of ice cream for the year, so there will be no more ice cream sales!

Don't forget! Tomorrow is Yearbook Signing Day! If your student has a yearbook, send it to school with them. If they do not have one, teachers will provide autograph sheets!

Today is our Spring Concert for grades 3-5! Doors open at 1:25; show starts at 1:30. Please enter through the first set of gym doors.

We are having a yearbook signing day at GES on May 27! Bring your 2025 yearbook to school that day, but if you have not purchased a yearbook, we will provide autograph sheets! All students will have the opportunity to get autographs from anyone in the school.
We still have a handful of yearbooks for sale in the office for $25. First come, first serve!

Don't forget that Parent Pick-Up cannot line up until 3pm today due to the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Sheriff's Detachment!

The new Sheriff's Detachment is having a ribbon cutting ceremony this Wednesday, May 14, and they will need our parking lot for their guests. Because of this, we will not be able to start our Parent Pick-Up line until 3pm. This will allow guests of the ceremony time to leave our parking lot and open space for line up. Again, please DO NOT line up for Parent Pick-Up until 3pm on Wednesday, May 14. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!

If you can join us, we are having a PTO meeting to discuss FIELD DAY today at 4pm at the school! We'd love to see you there!

Woo Hoo! Penny Wars was a huge success! Our first place winning class was Mrs. Miller's class with $74.69!
Overall, our school raised $1,980.16!! AMAZING!!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students are putting on a Spring Concert! Come support them on Wednesday, May 21 at 1:30pm in the GES Gym!
